16 from FHOC on National Academic Squad

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Sixteen members of the Rutgers field hockey team have been named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association's National Academic Squad. The National Academic Squad program recognizes those collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 through the first semester of the 2014-15 academic year.
Outgoing seniors Sophie Wright and Jenn Staab were recognized as four-year award recipients. Among the members of the National Academic Squad, Nicole Imbriaco and Victoria Crans were previously recognized as Division I Scholars of Distinction, achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher. Imbriaco was one of just three field hockey players in the Big Ten Conference to post an unblemished cumulative GPA of 4.0.
As a team, Rutgers recorded a 3.51 GPA, which was the fourth highest among Division I squads.
