Tennis Unveils 2015 Fall Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers women's tennis team released its 2015 fall schedule, it was announced Friday. The fall slate includes two invitational events, a home scrimmage and the ITA Regional Championships.
"We have a great fall schedule that allows us to compete against all the leading teams in the Northeast region," said head coach Benjamin Bucca. "We are very anxious for school to begin and for the start of what promises to be an exciting season with a demanding schedule."
The Scarlet Knights open the fall campaign on the road, traveling to Providence, R.I., to compete in the Brown Invitational from Friday, Sept. 25 to Sunday, Sept. 27. This will be the third straight year RU will appear in the event.
Rutgers remains on the road for the Bulldog Invitational, held Friday, Oct. 9 to Sunday, Oct. 11 at Yale University in New Haven, Conn.
The Scarlet Knights' lone home event of the fall schedule comes against Fordham on Friday, Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. RU will host the Rams at the East Brunswick Racquet Club for the competitive scrimmage.
Rutgers concludes the 2015 season at the ITA Regional Championships in Hanover, N.H. The Scarlet Knights enjoyed success last season at the regional event, as juniors Gina Li (Hillsborough, N.J.) and Mariam Zein (Sugarland, Texas) both advanced to the semifinals of the doubles draw.
Appearing for the first time as a member of the Big Ten Conference, RU finished its 2014-15 campaign with a 6-14 record, which included eight matches against ranked opponents.
