Tennis Announces 2017 Recruiting Class

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers tennis announced the signings of Isabelle Da Silva and Maya Jacobs to National Letters of Intent, it was announced Tuesday. Both will be eligible for the Scarlet Knights beginning in the fall of 2017.
"We're excited to have two top New Jersey tennis players sign with us," said head coach Hilary Ritchie. "Isabelle is a terrific athlete with a strong baseline game. Maya is also a natural athlete with a tremendous amount of talent and potential. I'm looking forward to working with them."
A Linden, New Jersey, native, Jacobs finished as the Union County runner up in singles play in 2014, finishing her regular season with an unblemished 9-0 record at Linden High School. She also finished 11-0 as a freshman in 2013. Currently training at Centercourt Academy in New Jersey, Jacobs compiled a 34-21 single record during her amateur career.
A Delran, New Jersey, native, Da Silva owns a 14-14 amateur record and was rated as high as the seventh-best singles player in New Jersey, according to TennisRecruiting.net.
