Tennis Releases Fall Competition Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers tennis announced its fall schedule for the 2016 fall season. The three-event slate will be the first with new head coach Hilary Ritchie leading the program after she was elevated to the position on Aug. 25.
The Scarlet Knights begin the fall campaign Sept. 23-25 at the Brown Invitational in Providence, Rhode Island. At last year's Brown Invite, Farris Cunningham finished second in her respective draw with wins against opponents from UMass and Boston.
RU returns to action Oct. 7-9 at the Navy Invitational in Annapolis, Maryland. Last year's regional invite featured Seton Hall, Princeton, George Washington and Delaware.
Rutgers concludes the fall portion of its schedule with a trip to West Haven, Connecticut to compete in the ITA Regional Championships Oct. 20-24. At last year's ITA Regionals, Chloe Lee and Ksenija Tihomirova advanced to the round of 16 in the doubles draw.
The Scarlet Knights return five players from the 2015-16 team that collected six regular-season wins during its second year in the Big Ten.
