Men’s XC Readies for 2018 Big Ten Championships

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's cross country readies for the 2018 Big Ten Championships set for Sunday, Oct. 28 hosted by the University of Nebraska at the Mahoney Golf Course. The women's 6K race will begin at 11:45 a.m. ET, followed by the men's 8K race at 12:45 p.m.
RACE COVERAGE
The championship will be streamed live on BTN Plus and the FOX Sports App. Big Ten Network will air a tape-delayed showing of the race on Monday, Oct. 29 at 8 p.m. ET.
CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT
The women's distance is 6,000 meters and the men's distance is 8,000 meters. The squads will be limited to nine competitors each. The first five finishers for each team will be included in the team scores and the next two runners act as pushers to displace the scorers from other teams.
Ties in team and individual competition at the Big Ten Championship shall not be broken. Duplicate awards will be ordered by the conference office.
RU'S LAST TIME OUT
Junior Cole Pschunder was the runner-up and the Scarlet Knights placed third as a team on Friday at the annual Metropolitan Cross Country Championship at Van Cortlandt Park.
Pschunder crossed the finish line in second in a time of 25:58.9 and was 34.9 seconds behind champion Ryan Kutch of Fordham.
