Tennis Wraps Up Northeast Championships
Oct 20 | Women's Tennis
WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Scarlet Knights concluded their run at the ITA Northeast Championships on Saturday. Four Scarlet Knights advanced to the round of 64 in singles, as sophomore Sydney Jones led the way with an appearance in the round of 32.
"Regionals is always a tough event," said Head Coach Hilary Ritchie. "You are competing against the top players from each team in the Northeast. I thought we competed well in singles. We had key opportunities that our players need to capitalize on to beat these top players. I'm happy with the progress we've made this fall so far.
"The next two weeks we will really focus on amping up our pace. We're looking forward to the tournament at Buffalo."
KNIGHT NOTES
The Scarlet Knights will take the courts next at the Buffalo Invitational November 1-3.
