Women’s Golf Set to Compete in the Bluegrass State

PISCATAWAY - Women's golf travels to the Bluegrass State to compete in the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational from Friday through Sunday, Sept. 27-29, on the University Club of Kentucky Big Blue Course. The Scarlet Knights head into the 13-team tournament with a 300.67 team stroke average after sixth and fourth place finishes to begin their fall campaign.
Seniors Carrie-Ann Lee, juniors Harriet Allsebrook and Eun Won Park, sophomore Maeve Rossi and freshman Anna-Maria Diederichs will comprise the RU travel party under head coach Kari Williams.
RU will compete against a strong field that features host Kentucky, Akron, Cincinnati, Eastern Kentucky, University of Indianapolis, Marshall, Middle Tennessee State, Memphis, Murray State, Penn State, Tulane and Western Kentucky.
Rutgers is coming off a fourth-place showing, with an 896 (298-300-298) total, at the 12-team Nittany Lion Invitational last weekend. Three Scarlet Knights finished among the top 25 in the 72-player field.
The Invitational will feature one round per day on the par 72, 6,114-yard course. Play will begin Friday and Saturday at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start slated for Sunday's finale. The Scarlet Knights are paired with Cincinnati and Western Kentucky off Hole 10 on Friday.
Live scoring will be available throughout the tournament via Golfstat.
