PISCATAWAY, N.J. – No. 21 Rutgers wrestling opens its 2022-23 dual schedule with three matches over the weekend, beginning with a home dual against Clarion on Friday night at College Ave. Gym. The dual is set for 6 p.m. ET and will stream on BTN+. The Scarlet Knights then hit the road to face Sacred Heart (1 p.m.) and No. 6 Arizona State (5 p.m.) on Saturday in Journeymen's WrangleMania, competed at Liberty High School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Due to the smaller capacity of College Ave. Gym, limited tickets for Friday's dual remain. Fans interested in purchasing single-match tickets for this event can find them here. Nick Kosko and Matt Howe will have the call on BTN+, while WRSU (88.7 FM) will handle the radio broadcast. Live results can be found by following @RUWrestling on Twitter. Saturday's WrangleMania event is available via Rokfin with either a subscription or a one-time payment of $15.

Parking for Friday's dual is free, but fans must register their vehicles using this link. Once registered, vehicles can be parked in Lot 26 (lot directly behind College Ave. Gym), Lot 30 (behind College Ave. Gym on the corner of Sicard & Bartlett) and the College Avenue Deck (622 George Street, New Brunswick, NJ). What to Know

• Friday's match with the Golden Eagles is the first for the Scarlet Knights at the College Ave. Gym since it defeated Binghamton, 38-0, on Nov. 1, 2015.
• The Clarion match is one of five home events for Rutgers this season, as the Scarlet Knights do not compete on campus again until Jan. 20 against Michigan State at Jersey Mike's Arena. Season tickets are available here.
• Wrestling had individuals in action last weekend at the Princeton Open. Three unattached Scarlet Knights – Joseph Olivieri (141), Andrew Clark (157) and John Poznanski (184) – secured individual titles, as 10 RU student-athletes placed during the all-day tournament at Jadwin Gym.
• Rutgers is set to face eight opponents ranked in the preseason NWCA Coaches Poll this season, including five - No. 1 Penn State, No. 3 Arizona State, No. 5 Michigan, No. 6 Ohio State and No. 8 Nebraska - in the Top 10.
• Entering his 16th season with the program, head coach Scott Goodale sits at 199 career wins. A victory Friday night will put him at 200 during his tenure 'On the Banks.' As a program, Rutgers needs two more dual victories to reach the 700-win milestone.
• RU has eight individuals who have qualified for at least one NCAA Championship and three who own All-America laurels - Sammy Alvarez (2020), John Poznanski (2021) and Jackson Turley (2021). Poznanski and Janzer are the only two-time NCAA qualifiers on the roster.
• Nine wrestlers are ranked in FloWrestling's first regular-season poll.

2021-22 Rewind

• Under Goodale, the Scarlet Knights finished the 2021-22 season with its most dual wins (16) since 2012-13 and its highest final ranking in the NWCA Coaches Poll (14) since 2017. RU qualified seven to the 2022 NCAA Championships – the most since 2017 – and had all participants score at the national tournament. Greg Bulsak (197) and Sebastian Rivera (141) added All-America honors to make it seven consecutive seasons with multiple All-Americans at NCAAs. With his bronze medal, Rivera became the fourth individual to secure a top-three finish at nationals in program history.
