| WHAT TO KNOW |
- The Scarlet Knights enter weekend action after they split a pair of home duals last week in Piscataway. RU delivered a convincing 36-3 win over in-state rival Rider last Thursday before it suffered a tight 19-14 loss to No. 6 Ohio State on Sunday. The loss to the Buckeyes was the first home loss for the program this season.
- Rutgers remained No. 15 in the latest NWCA Coaches poll. Six Scarlet Knights remained in the national rankings, according to Intermat – No. 3 Sebastian Rivera (141), No. 8 John Poznanski (184), No. 12 Greg Bulsak (197), No. 15 Michael VanBrill (141), No. 16 Joseph Olivieri (133) and No. 28 Dylan Shawver (125).
- With his 20-0 record, Rivera has proved to be one of the most dominant wrestlers in the country this season and a legitimate Hodge Trophy contender. Rivera owns a 95% bonus rate with 19 of his wins coming by bonus (11 tech falls, four major decisions, two pins, and two forfeits). Rivera's 11 tech falls lead the NCAA, as the graduate student has outscored his opponents 261-48 this season.
- With a win over the Terrapins, the Scarlet Knights will secure 16 victories during the dual campaign – their most since they went 16-4 in 2015-16. If RU wins its final three duals, its 19 wins will be the most since it produced 20 during the 2010-11 campaign.
- The program's all-time wins leader, head coach Scott Goodale owns 196 career victories during his 15-year tenure "On the Banks."
| WHAT TO KNOW: SERIES VS. MARYLAND |

- Maryland is led by third-year head coach Alex Clemsen, who arrived in College Park after a successful five-year tenure at Missouri.
- Rutgers leads the all-time series with Maryland, 12-5-1, which includes a six-match winning streak for the Scarlet Knights since both programs joined the Big Ten in 2014-15.
