
Tennis Falls to Delaware

NEWARK, Del. — The Rutgers women's tennis team (8-2) fell to Delaware on Friday afternoon on the road, 5-2.
The Blue Hens picked up the doubles point before winning singles matches on courts No. 1, 2, 4 and 6 to secure the match victory.
Doubles
Delaware secured the first point of the match with wins at the top two lineup spots. Chloe Brown/Amira Badawi were up 5-3 on the third court before the Blue Bens sealed the win.
Singles
The Scarlet Knights picked up victories on the third and fifth courts in singles.
Badawi got the win on the third court in three sets, 6-2, 4-6, 10-9. She improves to 4-1 this spring.
Arina Valitova also got the win at the fifth lineup spot, also in three sets, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4. She is 6-0 at the No. 5 spot and 6-1 this season.
