Madison Murtagh Takes ECAC 1650 Free Title

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Rutgers' Madison Murtagh is the ECAC Champion in the 1650 free.
The graduate student won the distance event in 16:15.48 with a 24.21 second margin of victory. She was .12 seconds off her PR, which is also the second fastest in Rutgers history.
The Scarlet Knights also had two reach the B finals of the 100 free. Jillian Ruffner won the B final and placed ninth overall with a PR of 52.57. Grace Hagemaster, meanwhile, placed eighth in the B final and 16th overall. She set a personal best in the prelims clocking in at 52.96 to advance to the evening race.
