| FIRST HALF |
Rutgers wasted no time to start the game producing a touchdown on the third play from scrimmage. Wimsatt threw a dart over the middle to Dremel, who made the catch and scampered all the way for a 69-yard touchdown. The pass was a career long for Wimsatt and gave the Scarlet Knights a 7-0 lead just a minute into the game.
The Wolverines answered later in the quarter with a seven-play, 94-yard touchdown drive to tie things up at 7-7. The home team added another just before halftime to take a 14-7 lead at the break.
On the ensuing RU drive, P Flynn Appleby boomed a career-long 75-yard punt to flip the field, tied for the fifth-longest punt in program history.WHAT A START FOR @RFootball 🙌@ChristianDremel takes it 69 yards to take an early lead over Michigan! 😤 pic.twitter.com/hwdHkhW2EZ
