WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Rutgers women's tennis team (7-4, 1-2 B1G) was defeated by the No. 64 Purdue Boilermakers (8-3, 2-2 B1G), 4-1 Friday afternoon at Schwartz Tennis Center.
Doubles
The Boilermakers jumped out to the early lead with wins on courts one and two, to secure the doubles point.
Singles
Purdue earned wins on courts one and two in straight-sets to take the 3-0 lead.
On the brink of getting swept, Naomi Karki ruined the shutout winning 6-3, 6-2 to keep the Scarlet Knights alive.
The Boilermakers however clinched the match with a win on court three.
