PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's tennis team (7-11, 1-9 B1G) was defeated by the No. 28 Iowa Hawkeyes (12-6, 6-3 B1G), 4-1 Sunday afternoon.

Doubles

Minchae Kim & Karina Jumazhanova were leading 5-2 in their unfinished match, while the Hawkeyes collected the doubles point with wins on courts one and three.

Singles

Iowa grabbed the first singles point with a win on court two before Mai Nguyen earned a ranked win, beating No. 115 Tereza Dejnozkova 6-3, 6-3.

Jumazhanova and Kim then both won their first sets in the tiebreaker, before the matches went unfinished. The Hawkeyes then won on courts four and six to take the dual.

Next Up

The Scarlet Knights will stay home the following weekend to take on the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday April 12 at the Livingston Tennis Center. After that, RU will head west to take on conference newcomers USC and UCLA, on April 18 and 19 respectively.
