
Baseball Announces 2027 Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. ā Rutgers baseball announced its 2027 schedule on Thursday. The Scarlet Knights are set for 14 weekend series, including 10 Big Ten series.
RU will open the season in South Carolina with a three-game series against Wofford, with the season opener set for Friday, Feb. 19 at 5:30 p.m. The Terriers are coming off a 34-22 season in 2026 that included a 12-9 record in the SoCon.
The second weekend of the season features a trip to Nashville to take on two-time national champion Vanderbilt (Feb. 26-28). The following weekend, RU will travel to Richmond for three games against defending Atlantic 10 champion VCU (March 5-7). The fourth nonconference weekend is set for April, when Rutgers will host a multi-team event featuring two games against Northeastern and one each against NJIT and Iona (April 16-18).
The home opener is set for Feb. 23 against Saint Joseph's, with first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m. at Bainton Field.
Big Ten play opens with a trip to the Pacific Northwest to face Oregon (March 12-14) and Washington (March 19-21), with a midweek game at Oregon State (March 16) scheduled between the two series.
The full Big Ten schedule includes: at Oregon (March 12-14), at Washington (March 19-21), Indiana (March 26-28), Nebraska (April 2-4), at Michigan State (April 9-11), at Maryland (April 23-25), Minnesota (April 30-May 2), Penn State (May 7-9), at Iowa (May 14-16) and Purdue (May 20-22).
