Mar 22 | Women's Tennis
PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Rutgers tennis was downed against No. 22 Wisconsin, 4-0, on Sunday afternoon.
"Singles was competitive but our close matches ran out of time," said head coach Hilary Ritchie. "At practice we're going to keep focusing on hitting through the court and being offensive."
Doubles
All three pairs of Scarlet Knights fought hard in doubles, but Wisconsin clinched the doubles point for the day.
"Unfortunately, Wisconsin took the doubles point by playing very aggressive through the baseline," concluded Ritchie.
Singles
RU battled fiercly on all six courts, but ultimately, Wisconsin walked away with the win.
First year Stella Schmitz played a promising match on court one, 6-4, 0-6, 1-0, but was unfortunately unable to complete it before the Badgers clinched today's match.
