Tennis Downed by Oregon
Mar 08 | Women's Tennis
EUGENE, ORE.— No. 64 Rutgers tennis was downed at Oregon, 4-0, on Sunday afternoon.
"This was a disappointing loss," head coach Hilary Richie said. "Oregon asserted themselves early in doubles, and we were not able to take offense in enough first sets of singles."
Doubles
Doubles duo Mai Nguyen & Zuzanna Frankowska were playing a close match, 3-3, but the Ducks clinched the doubles point before it could be finished.
Singles
RU battled on all six courts, but ultimately, Oregon walked away with the win.
Richie finished on a hopeful note, saying, "I have a lot of belief in our players and know they have better tennis ahead."
