
Women’s Golf Hosts Rutgers Invitational

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's golf hosts its annual Rutgers Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at the Rutgers University Golf Course.
Saturday includes 36 holes, while Sunday features 18. Both days will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Admission and parking for the event are free. Spectators are encouraged to park in the Rutgers University Golf Course parking lot, located across the street on Hoes Lane West.

Rutgers carded its second consecutive runner-up finish at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic on March 28 in Athens, Georgia. The Scarlet Knights finished just three strokes behind host Georgia in the 16-team field.
Sophomore Judy Amano paced RU with her one-under-par 215 (71-71-73) to finish sixth in the 89-player field. Redshirt senior Grace Lu (19th), sophomore Joline Truong (21st) and freshman Elizabeth Ryu (29th) all closed out the tournament in the top 30 to fuel Rutgers to its runner-up result.

Rutgers won the team title for the second straight season at the Rutgers Invitational last season, beating the field by 30 strokes at the Rutgers University Golf Course.
Emily James won the individual title at 6-over to earn the first title of her career. She picked up the victory in wire-to-wire fashion after leading following the first day of play.
