EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. — Rutgers tennis was defeated by Purdue, 4-0, on Sunday afternoon at the East Brunswick Racquet Club.
Doubles
Unfortunately, Purdue secured the doubles point Sunday afternoon.
Pair Zuzanna Frankowska and Zeynep Ilker were nearing the end of an intense match, tied at 5-5, when the Boilers clinched the point.
Singles
No Scarlet Knights were able to secure wins in singles today.
Returner Zuzanna Frankowska fought fiercely through a tie-breaker in her first set, 7-6 (7-5), but ran out of time before Purdue clinched for the day.
Karina Jumazhanova was also close to finishing a heated match on the fifth court, 6-0, 2-6, 1-0, but was unable to finish the match in time.
