Rosenzweig, Spilis Help Charm to WLL Championship

PHILADELPHIA – Rutgers women's lacrosse assistant coach Livy Rosenzweig and three-time All-American Cassidy Spilis helped the Maryland Charm to a WLL Championship Game victory on Saturday in Philadelphia. The Charm defeated the California Palms, 16-13, to claim the first WLL Championship in league history.
Rosenzweig and Spilis both played huge roles in the victory. Spilis tallied four points on three goals and an assist, which included two scores in the first half. Rosenzweig added a goal, scooped up six ground balls and won 14 faceoffs.
Both Rosenzweig and Spilis played in all four games for the Charm during the regular season. Rosenzweig finished third in the league with 28 ground balls while winning 48 faceoffs. Spilis produced seven points on six goals and an assist, drilling the first overtime game-winning score in league history for an 18-17 victory over the Palms back on May 29. Spilis represented the Charm in this year's Lexus WLL All-Star Game, held on July 5 in Annapolis, Maryland.
Rosenzweig helped the Scarlet Knights return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2022 during her second year on staff as an assistant coach. Navigating one of the toughest schedules in the country, RU wrapped up the 2026 season with their most overall (11) and Big Ten (4) wins since 2022. Working with the program's draw specialists, Rosenzweig helped senior captain Katie Buck earn First Team All-Big Ten and Honorable Mention All-America accolades in 2026.
The most prolific scorer in program history, Spilis finished as the program's leader in career points (281), goals (266) and draw controls (313). In 81 career games, Spilis produced 281 points on 266 goals and 15 assists along with 313 draw controls, 149 ground balls and 102 caused turnovers. The Tabernacle, New Jersey, native was a two-time conference player of the year, four-time First Team All-Big Ten selection, three-time IWLCA All-American and three-time IWLCA All-Region pick. She was named an assistant coach at Stony Brook this summer after spending the past two seasons on staff at USC.
