Women's Basketball Sets Nonconference Schedule
Aug 19 | Women's Basketball
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Head coach Gary Redus II and the Rutgers women's basketball program have announced the 2026-27 nonconference schedule. The slate features 12 contests prior to Big Ten play, including 11 home games at Jersey Mike's Arena.
"We're really excited about the opportunity this schedule presents for our team," Redus said. "Having 11 home games at Jersey Mike's Arena and four matchups against teams from New Jersey gives us a chance to build momentum with our fans behind us. Every game is an opportunity to get better, establish our identity and prepare for the demands of Big Ten play. We can't wait to get started and welcome our fans back to Jersey Mike's Arena."
An opportunity to get BETTER every game ⚔️

Prior to the official start of the 2026-27 season, the Scarlet Knights will host Caldwell in an exhibition game, free and open to the public, on Friday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. More details will be made available at a later date.
RU will open the regular season with seven consecutive home games, beginning on Monday, Nov. 2 against LIU before hosting La Salle (Nov. 4), Indiana State (Nov. 8), Monmouth (Nov. 11), Albany (Nov. 16), Maryland Eastern Shore (Nov. 19) for Recess Day at 11 a.m. and ending with Delaware State (Nov. 21).
The matchup against Monmouth marks the first of four meetings against in-state opponents during nonconference play. RU will keep it going with a trip to Princeton on Wednesday, Nov. 25 for a Garden State showdown just before Thanksgiving, keeping one of the state's longstanding women's basketball rivalries going.
Rutgers will return home in December for another four-game homestand, starting with two more New Jersey rivals. The Scarlet Knights will welcome Saint Peter's on Wednesday, Dec. 2 before hosting Seton Hall on Tuesday, Dec. 8, reigniting the home-and-home series. RU will finish the nonconference campaign versus Coppin State on Sunday, Dec. 13 and finally Lafayette on Sunday, Dec. 20.
Start times for nonconference contests as well as TV designations and promotions will be released at a later date.
The Big Ten schedule, including game dates and times, will be announced by the conference in the coming months. Home and away conference opponents for the Scarlet Knights were announced by the league in June.
