Cross Country Announces 2026 Season Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers cross country returns to action in September for the first of four regular season races before preparing for the Big Ten Championships in Madison, Wisconsin in late October. The Scarlet Knights make two trips to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania followed by preview at the conference championship course before closing out the regular season in Princeton.
Led by key returners and Big Ten Runners to Watch Micah Lawson on the men's side and Kelseigh O'Neil on the women's team, the Scarlet Knights are looking to build on the momentum from their 2025 campaign.
Rutgers heads to the Goodman Campus in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for the Lehigh Invitational on Friday, Sept. 4. The group returns to the Keystone State for another trip to Lehigh, this time for the 52nd edition of the Paul Short Run on Friday, Oct. 2.
The Scarlet Knights will have the chance to preview the Big Ten Championship course when they travel to Madison, Wisconsin for the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on Friday, Oct. 9. The team will return home to New Jersey for the Princeton Fall Classic in Princeton, N.J. on Friday, Oct. 16 and then head back to Wisconsin for the Big Ten Championships on Friday, Oct. 30.
The Goodman Campus course will also serve as the site for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Friday, Nov. 13. The 2026 NCAA Championships will be held on Nov. 21 at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana.
