Prior to Rutgers: Coached by Bill Bianco at Newburgh Free Academy … played wide receiver and linebacker during scholastic career … helped the Goldbacks to a 10-3 record and appearance in NYS Class AA State Championship game as a senior in 2022 … finished senior season with 27 receptions for 629 yards and eight touchdowns … added 25 carries for 161 yards and three touchdowns on the ground … collected 20 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one pass breakup in three games on defense … won a Class AA state title as a junior in 2021 … earned first team all-state honors and was named Section IX Player of the Year … finished junior season with 15 touchdowns and 54 tackles ... a consensus three-star prospect … No. 4 recruit in New York by ESPN … the top athlete prospect in the Empire State by 247Sports ... also an all-state selection in basketball.
