Abi Goldberg joined the Rutgers Athletics staff in May 2022 as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Goldberg designs and implements year-round strength and conditioning programs for men’s and women’s soccer. Prior to this she worked with softball, men’s and women’s track and field and cross country.
Prior to Rutgers, Goldberg was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Temple University. While at Temple, she oversaw the strength and conditioning programs for Field Hockey, Women’s Track and Field and Men’s Crew as well as running the graduate assistant program. Prior to this, Goldberg spent a year at Georgetown University as an Assistant Sports Performance Coach for Softball, Men’s Crew, and Women’s Golf as well as running the internship program there. Prior to this, she spent a year at the University of Maryland, first as an intern and then as a Part Time Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. While she was there, she oversaw the strength and conditioning programs for Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Women’s Golf as well as assisting with the rest of the olympic sports there.
Goldberg is Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) and a Certified Sports Performance Coach by USA Weightlifting. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
A 2017 graduate of University of Maryland, Goldberg earned a B.S. in Kinesiology and earned her M.S. in Sports Psychology from Capella University in 2020.
