Rutgers Women's Lax Named An IWLCA Honor Squad

Piscataway, N.J. - The Rutgers women's lacrosse team was recognized on Monday for its success in the classroom this past season. The Scarlet Knights were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Honor Squad.
The Scarlet Knights were one of 96 teams to receive the award. The recognition is given to teams that held a team GPA of 3.00 or greater for the 2006-2007 academic year. Rutgers posted a 3.027 team grade point average.
Over 400 athletes from 157 institutions - three divisions - were cited for individual academic excellence. Rising senior Jessica Fox (Pharmacy) and junior Rachel Doan (Exercise Science & Sport Studies/Sport Management) were named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. Fox is a native of Marlton, N.J. while Doan hails from Dublin, Ohio.
