Women's Lacrosse Travels to Connecticut Saturday

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women’s lacrosse team will play its fourth straight road game Saturday, traveling to Connecticut for a 1 p.m. BIG EAST contest against the Huskies.
Rutgers (6-8, 2-3) is coming off an 11-5 win at Monmouth on Tuesday. Junior Brooke Cantwell (Moorestown, N.J.) and sophomore Marley Welsh (Jarretsville, Md.) each netted hat tricks to pace the RU offense.
Connecticut (2-11, 2-3) has dropped its last two games, including a 19-8 loss at Georgetown on Sunday. The Huskies are led by Kiersten Tupper who has tallied a team-high 43 points on 19 goals and 24 assists.
Rutgers leads the all-time series against Uconn, 9-2. The Scarlet Knights have won three straight against the Huskies, including a 10-6 victory last season.
