PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Rutgers junior attack Brooke Cantwell (Moorestown, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST’s women’s lacrosse weekly Honor Roll, the league announced Monday.
Cantwell is the third Scarlet Knight to garner weekly recognition from the league as teammates Sandra Abel (Monrovia, Md.) and Meghan Flanagan (Medford, N.J.) were honored early in the season.
Cantwell had a stellar week, leading the Scarlet Knights to two victories. The junior totaled five points, including four goals to pace an RU offense that scored 22 goals. Cantwell’s week was highlighted with a hat trick against Monmouth on April 8.
With 30 goals and five assists, Cantwell leads the Scarlet Knights in total points. She has scored at least three goals in four games this season.
Cantwell and the Rutgers women’s lacrosse team will return to action on Saturday, April 18. It will be senior day for the Scarlet Knights, who take on Syracuse in a BIG EAST tilt beginning at 11 a.m.
