PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers baseball team’s game against Delaware, scheduled to be played at the University of Delaware Tuesday, has been cancelled due to the threat of the swine flu outbreak on the Newark, Del. campus.
The Scarlet Knights (18-28) will host Fairleigh Dickinson Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Bainton Field in Piscataway. They are in the process of replacing the Delaware game with a contest later this week.
The Blue Hens were forced to cancel their weekend series at UNC-Wilmington as a member of the baseball team was one of the initial cases of suspected swine flu diagnosed on the Delaware campus.
