• OL Chris Muller became the 23rd player and only the second offensive lineman (Kaleb Johnson) in school history to play in 50 games in his career. Muller played in all 50 games since 2013, starting the last 49.
TEAM NOTES
• Rutgers fell to Maryland in the 12th all-time meeting between the programs. The Terrapins lead the series 7-5 overall with a 3-2 advantage in College Park.
• Rutgers tied its season high with 80 offensive plays run from scrimmage.
• Rutgers held Maryland to 1-of-3 in the red zone to finish the season with 15 stops this season, most in the Big Ten. Opponents went 40-for-55 overall (73 percent).
• The defense picked up four sacks to tie its season high, finishing with 21 for the season after having 12 in 2015.
• Rutgers scored its first touchdown of the game on a 15-play drive to tie its season-high for most plays on a touchdown drive this season.
