Tennis to Compete at ITA Northeast Regional Championships Oct. 17-22

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers tennis is set to compete at the 2019 ITA Northeast Division I Regional Championship hosted by Army at the United States Military Academy. The championship event will take place from October 17-22 with competition between outdoors at the Malek Courts and indoors at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center.
SINGLES
Five Scarlet Knights await seeding in the main singles draws, including senior Kat Muzik, junior Maya Jacobs, and sophomores Tess Fisher, Sydney Jones and Sydney Kaplan.
Senior Jaci Cochrane will begin the weekend for RU in the qualifying rounds on Thursday at 10 a.m. Eight competitors advance from the opening rounds into main draws. The main draws are to be released prior to Friday's competition.
DOUBLES
Rutgers will see three pairs compete in doubles action. The duos include sophomores Fisher and Jones, sophomore Kristiana Zahare and Jacobs, and Muzik and Cochrane. The Scarlet Knights await seeding for the main doubles draw.

FRIDAY 10/18 – 2 DOUBLES, 1 SINGLES
Start Time: 9 a.m. (Doubles followed by singles)
Location: Outdoors - Bottom half of the singles draw and bottom half of the doubles draw
Indoors - Top half the singles draw and top half of the doubles draw
SATURDAY 10/9 – 2 SINGLES (ROUND OF 64 AND 32)
Start Time: 9 a.m.
Location: Indoors - Bottom half of singles draw
Outdoors - Top half of the singles draw
SUNDAY 10/20 – 2 DOUBLES, 1 SINGLES
Start Time: 10 a.m. (Singles followed by doubles)
Location: Outdoors
MONDAY 10/21 – QUARTERFINALS OF SINGLES, SEMIFINALS OF DOUBLES
Start Time: 10 a.m. (Singles followed by doubles)
Location: Outdoors
Tuesday 10/22 – SEMIFINALS AND FINALS OF SINGLES, FINALS OF DOUBLES
Start Time: 10 a.m. (Singles followed by doubles)
