PISCATAWAY, N.J. – In accordance with state, local and campus guidelines, Rutgers Athletics will increase fan capacity at Bainton Field starting with this weekend's three-team, four-day pod. A pass list will be maintained for player guests, while a limited number of spots will be made available for the general public on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Â
- Spectators will be required to show proof of a completed contact tracing form upon entry each day. A confirmation email will be sent upon completion of the online form. Spectators are encouraged to fill out the form prior to arriving on campus.
- Fans are encouraged to arrive early. Attendance is first-come, first-serve, counted by a clicker at the gate to adhere to the capacity restrictions and promote proper physical distancing in the venue. Gates will open two hours prior to first pitch.
- Parking for 2021 baseball home games is free, but visitors must register their vehicle with the University through this link. Visitors only need to register their vehicle once for the entire season.
- Tailgating in campus lots before or after Rutgers Athletics events is prohibited.
- Rutgers Athletics encourages its fans and supporters to continue to take all necessary measures and follow the guidance of public health officials, including wearing a mask, practicing physical distancing and increased hand hygiene.
The Scarlet Knights (17-13) are coming off a sweep at then-No. 19 Nebraska to bring a five-game winning streak home. RU previously split two games the opening weekend versus Indiana (20-9), who are currently in first place in the Big Ten and ranked as high as No. 17 by
Perfect Game, and will take on the Cornhuskers (20-10), a half game back of the Hoosiers in the standings, once again.
Â
All six games of the pod will stream on Big Ten Network+. WRSU 88.7-FM is set to call each of the four Rutgers contests.
