Tennis Travels for Two Big Ten Road Matches

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Continuing a stretch of six straight matches on the road, Rutgers tennis is set for two Big Ten matchups in Illinois this weekend. The Scarlet Knights first visit Northwestern on Saturday, March 26 for a 1 p.m. ET match. RU then travels to Illinois on Sunday, March 27 for a 12 p.m. ET contest.
Competing in three road matches over six days and across three different states, Rutgers tennis dropped contests at Maryland and Penn over the weekend.
Sophomore Daira Cardenas and freshman Jackeline Lopez lead the squad with seven singles victories on the year. Cardenas added a conference win at No.5 singles against Wisconsin.
In doubles play, senior Tess Fisher and freshman Minchae Kim continue to pace the team with a 6-4 record as a pair at No. 1 doubles.
