Tina Celik Runner-Up in 100 Breast At ECAC Open Swimming & Diving Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Rutgers' Tina Celik was the runner-up in the 100 breast on Saturday at the ECAC Open Swimming & Diving Championships at LeJeune Hall on the campus of the US Naval Academy.
Celik hit the wall in 1:01.19 and was edged out of first place by .07 seconds. Her time was a new PR, surpassing her previous best of 1:01.26, and the fourth-best time in the event in the Rutgers record book.
Grace Hagemaster qualified for the B finals in the 100 back winning the heat in 57.16 and dropping half a second from her prelim swim.
Also on Saturday, Jillian Ruffner captured a season-best 1:56.68 in the 200 free during prelims.
