EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. – The No. 74 Rutgers women's tennis team (7-3, 1-1 B1G) was defeated by the No. 21 Washington Huskies (9-1, 2-0 B1G), 4-0 Sunday afternoon.
The Scarlet Knights fought hard in all matches and pulled away with a doubles win against a duo ranked No. 85 in the nation.
Doubles
Doubles duo Mai Nguyen & Naomi Karki defeated No. 85 duo Alexia Jacobs & Reece Carter by a score of 6-3.
The Huskies then tied doubles play with a win on court 2, before winning the point in a tiebreaker on court 3.
Singles
RU battled on all six courts, winning the first set in all three unfinished matches, but ultimatley the Huskies walked away with the win.
