No. 14 Wrestling Wraps Up Home Slate Monday with Princeton

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – No. 14 Rutgers wrestling (12-5) closes its home schedule with Princeton (4-9) on Monday at Jersey Mike's Arena. The dual is set for a 7 p.m. start and will stream on Big Ten Plus, with Nick Kosko and Matt Howe on the call.
Monday serves as Senior Night, as Patrick Adams, Hunter Catka, Brandan Chletsos, Andrew Clark, Eric Freeman, Sebastiano Nini, Joseph Olivieri, Lenny Pinto, Dylan Shawver and Anthony White will all be recognized prior to the dual.
The Scarlet Knights face the Tigers for the 88th time in their long standing in-state rivalry. RU has won the previous four matchups and 28 of the last 29 with Princeton dating back to 1993. Rutgers won last season's meeting, 32-7, on Dec. 8, 2024 at Jadwin Gym to retain the B1G-IVY Trophy.
The Scarlet Knights enter the final week of the regular season after it defeated Michigan State, 29-9, on Friday in East Lansing. The victory secured a winning Big Ten Conference record for the second consecutive season under head coach Scott Goodale.

• Ayden Smith (125) was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week, announced Thursday by the conference office. Smith delivered a 7-2 decision over then-No. 10 Jore Volk to help No. 14 Rutgers wrestling to a 23-15 upset over then-No. 6 Minnesota on Feb. 6 in Piscataway.
• Smith is the first Big Ten Freshman of the Week in program history and earns the first weekly accolades for the Scarlet Knights from the conference since Dean Peterson picked up co-wrestler of the week laurels last season.
