Women’s Lacrosse Earns 2026 IWLCA Academic Accolades

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's lacrosse was named a 2026 IWLCA Academic Squad, announced this afternoon by the organization. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
In addition, 15 student-athletes earned individual recognition from the IWLCA: Katie Buck, Ava Chiarella, Kayleigh Coughlin, Erin Devine, Lily Dixon, Erin Duggan, Gianna Eglauf, Kimberly Greenblatt, Simone Koryszewski, Gianna Macrino, Cate O'Ferrall, Olivia Pikiell, Sophia Rowell, Samantha Swanovich, and Grace Toth. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
The Scarlet Knights have been named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad for six consecutive seasons dating back to 2021. Their 15 individual laurels mark a program record and the most across the Big Ten Conference this year.
RU enjoyed success in the classroom this season, landing 23 student-athletes on the 2026 Spring Academic All-Big Ten list, while 13 earned Big Ten Distinguished Scholar accolades. The Scarlet Knights posted a 3.5 spring term GPA.
Navigating one of the toughest schedules in the country, Rutgers closed the 2026 campaign with its most overall wins (11) and Big Ten wins (4) since 2022. The campaign was capped by the program's third NCAA Tournament appearance under head coach Melissa Lehman, where RU delivered a 12-11 win over No. 17 Princeton in the opening round of the championship.
