Prior to Rutgers: Two-time All-Shore Conference selection and All-Ocean County selection … collected 72 hits, 37 RBIs and four home runs during three-year varsity career … batted .406 as a senior and .403 as a junior at Brick Township High School … transferred to Brick for junior season … played shortstop and batted .375 at Toms River North as a sophomore … won the Shore Conference Championship and the Ocean County Championship during his sophomore season … Toms River North was ranked No. 1 in the Shore Conference in 2013 … also an all-state quarterback for Brick as a junior … three-time All-Shore Conference selection … picked to the All-Ocean County team and the All-Group 4 team as a junior while also winning the state championship … totaled 6,900 yards and 77 touchdowns in three-year varsity football career at Toms River North and Brick … turned down FCS football scholarship offers to play baseball at Rutgers.
Personal: Son of Carmen and Laura Sclafani … has one younger brother, Joey … father, Carmen played football for Rutgers in 1988 ... a psychology major.
