High School and Personal: Won a pair of Pennsylvania state titles in the high jump for Williamsport Area High School...Ranked No. 10 nationally in the high jump as a senior…won 13 of 16 outdoor high jump competitions in 2017…runner-up and first American in the high jump at the 2017 Penn Relays (7-0.5)…won 2015 PIAA state high jump title and the 2016 indoor crown…earned New Balance Indoor All-American honors in 2016…was state runner-up indoors in 2017; finished in top three all three years…posted 2016 state runner-up finish in the long jump…outstanding all-around athlete who starred in basketball and competed at the state swimming meet…plans to major in business…the son of Shuab Ali and Cheryl Cobia.

- Came third in high jump with a height of 2.06m at PSU Tri Meet. (Feb 6)
- Placed second in high jump with a height of 2.02m and second in long jump at Penn State Invite. (Jan 23)
- Finished fourth in high jump and third in long jump with a distance of 7.16m at Nittany Lion Opener. (Jan 16)
- Claimed a first place finish in the long jump (7.33m) at the IC4A/ECAC Indoor Championships (March 8)
- Finished eighth in the long jump (7.33m) at the Meyo Invitational (Feb. 8)
- Finished fifth in the high jump (2.01m) at the Meyo Invitational (Feb. 8)
- Finished second in the long jump (7.10m) at the Metropolitan Championships (Jan. 31)
- Finished fifth in the high jump with a personal-best mark of 2.06m at the Florida relays (Mar. 29).
- Finished second in the long jump (7.16m) at the TCNJ Lions Indoor Invite (Jan. 12).
- Finished second in the long jump (7.09m) and fourth in the high jump (1.98m) in his debut as a Scarlet Knight at the TCNJ Indoor Opener (Dec. 1).
