Tennis Welcomes In-State Foe Seton Hall

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers tennis returns home to host in-state foe Seton Hall on Saturday night. Match time is set for 6 p.m. at the East Brunswick Racquet Club.
RU'S LAST TIME OUT
Rutgers (3-0) pushed its win streak to three straight matches with a 6-1 victory on the road at Delaware. The Scarlet Knights secured the doubles point and five singles wins for the victory.
Sophomore Jaci Cochrane leads RU with a 7-0 mark in singles action, including a 3-0 mark in dual action. Freshman Maya Jacobs and sophomore Kat Muzik hold 3-0 marks in dual matches as well.
In doubles, senior Mingxiu Du and Muzik lead the pairs with a 5-1 mark on the season. Cochrane and Jacobs follow with a 4-1 record as a duo.
SCOUTING SETON HALL
Seton Hall (1-2) is coming off a 4-3 loss at Army, a Black Knights' squad that Rutgers edged out a 4-3 win last week. The Pirates have earned a win over Marist, 6-1, while also falling to Fordham, 5-2, in its season opener.
Katie Kim and Melody Taal lead the Pirates with 3-0 marks in singles action. The duo of Anicka Fajnorova and Kim are 2-0 in doubles play.

Rutgers and Seton Hall last met on the court in 2016, when the Scarlet Knights claimed a 5-2 victory on the road.
