Tennis Hits the Road for Michigan State and #24 Michigan

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers tennis hits the road for a weekend in the Great Lakes State with two Big Ten matches against Michigan State and No. 24 Michigan. The Scarlet Knights face the Spartans on Saturday at 12 p.m. ET before matching up with the Wolverines on Sunday at 12 p.m.
RU'S LAST TIME OUT
Despite a pair of singles victories in each match, Rutgers dropped its contests to No. 38 Nebraska and Iowa last weekend.
Freshman Isabelle DaSilva led the Scarlet Knights with her first two Big Ten victories on the weekend. Classmate Maya Jacobs picked up her second conference win against the Cornhuskers, while sophomore Jaci Cochrane added a victory of her own against the Hawkeyes.
SCOUTING MICHIGAN STATE
Michigan State owns an overall record of 13-7 and a conference mark of 4-4. The Spartans have faced three-straight ranked opponents in their most recent contests, including setbacks to No. 29 Ohio State, No. 13 Northwestern, and No. 11 Illinois.
In singles action, Samantha Memije leads the team with a 14-3 dual record, including a 7-1 mark in league matches. The duo of Lexi Baylis and Ava Thielman pace doubles play with a 4-3 record in conference contests.

Chiara Lommer paces the squad with an 8-0 singles record in Big Ten duals, including a 13-4 dual record over all. In doubles play, the duo of Lommer and Lera Patiuk are 4-2 in conference matchups.
