KNIGHT NOTES
• With three wins at Penn State last weekend, the Scarlet Knights swept a Big Ten series for the first time since taking three against Indiana at home April 22-24, 2016. This was Rutgers' third Big Ten series sweep since joining the conference in 2015 and the first against Penn State as Big Ten opponents. Now at 20 wins on the season, Rutgers has already surpassed last season's win total with 12 regular season games to play.
• Freshman catcher Katie Wingert was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Monday after hitting three home runs and producing six RBIs in the Penn State sweep. Wingert becomes the Scarlet Knights' first Big Ten Freshman of the Week since Rebecca Hall on March 16, 2015 and Rutgers' first overall Big Ten weekly honoree since Stephanie Huang won Player of the Week on March 21, 2016. Three out of her last four home runs were of the go-ahead variety in wins at Ohio State and Penn State. The rookie is slashing .307/.386/.693 overall and leads the team with 12 RBIs in Big Ten games. Price faced the minimum 21 batters in the masterpiece. The rookie leads the staff in innings (122.2), ERA (3.02), WHIP (1.12) and strikeouts (78). Price's nine strikeouts against Robert Morris was the program's most in a game since nine on March 18, 2016.
