PISCATAWAY, N.J. (April 14, 2022) – Winners of 12 straight and owners of the longest winning streak in the country, the No. 22 Rutgers baseball team will welcome Indiana for a three-game series at Bainton Field this weekend.
Rutgers currently ranks first among Big Ten teams in batting average (.326), doubles (83), doubles/game (2.52), ERA (3.10), fielding percentage (.981), hits (404), OBP (.424), runs (316), runs/game (9.6), shutouts (4), SLG% (.509), OPS (.933), K/BB (2.41), WHIP (1.20) and BB/9 (3.78). RU's marks of batting average (3rd), doubles (5th), doubles/game (6th), ERA (7th), hits (3rd), hits allowed/9 innings (7.00, 7th), OBP (7th), runs (7th), runs/game (8th) and W/L percentage (.818, 3rd) are all top 10 in the nation.
Rutgers is the only team in the country to be ranked top 10 in batting average, ERA and fielding percentage.

- Rutgers picked up a pair of midweek wins at home, beating Penn 8-4 and Lafayette 23-3.
- For the second straight season, the Scarlet Knights went into Lincoln and swept a three-game series against Nebraska, capped off by a 19-1 blowout in the series finale.
- Ryan Lasko homered three times in the Nebraska series and scored 7 runs en route to being named Big Ten Player of the Week
- Jared Kollar (6-0), Garrett French (2-0) and Justin Sinibaldi (2-0) all picked up wins over the weekend, while Wyatt Parliament (3-0) and Nate McLain (1-0) picked up the midweek wins on the mound.

- Eight different qualified (2 PA/G) Scarlet Knights are batting over .300. All eight of those players have at least 20 RBI on the season
- Nick Cimillo leads the Big Ten with a .416 AVG and .523 OBP. He was recently named Second Team Midseason All-America by Perfect Game
- Nick Cimillo (52) and Ryan Lasko (49) are first and second in the Big Ten in hits.
- Cimillo (42, 1st), Lasko (41, 2nd), Tony Santa Maria (37, 4th) and Danny DiGeorgio (35, 6th) dominate the conference leaderboard in runs scored.
- Cimillo (C, 16th), DiGeorgio (SS, 27th) and Santa Maria (3B, 29th) were all ranked in the top 30 at their respective positions by D1 Baseball.

- Under pitching coach Brendan Monaghan, Rutgers has made its mark as one of the top pitching teams in the
country. - RU is first in the Big Ten with a 3.10 ERA, with the next-best team at 3.52
- Friday starter Jared Kollar has emerged as one of the top pitchers in the league. He is tops in the Big Ten with a 6.0 K/BB ratio, 0.86 WHIP and 1.74 BB/9.
- The team has 12 games with at least 10 strikeouts this season with a high of 16 against Omaha on March 20.
- Dale Stanavich, a member of the NCBWA Stopper of the Year watch list, leads the Big Ten with seven saves and
has 32 strikeouts to just four walks in 18.1 IP.
