FIRST QUARTER
Rutgers' special teams made an immediate impact, as the Scarlet Knights' pressure on Norfolk State's first punt resulted in a block from Sanders, which was recovered and returned by WR Dylan Braithwaite for a touchdown.

RU followed with a blocked punt on its next opportunity, as Elad flew through the Spartans' line for the block, which was recovered by Sanders for a score. The back-to-back special teams' touchdowns made it 13-0 Rutgers right before the end of the quarter.
SECOND QUARTER
Raymond capped a nine-play, 62-yard scoring drive with a three-yard touchdown run. Elad followed with an interception to give back Rutgers possession, which was turned into a 31-yard field goal by PK Jai Patel. Patel's field goal made it 23-3 Scarlet Knights with 3:50 left in the half.

A 44-yard attempt from Patel in the closing seconds gave RU a 26-3 lead heading into the locker room.
THIRD QUARTER
Kaliakmanis connected with Black to open the second half, finding him for 37-yard touchdown to extend Rutgers' lead to 32-10. Norfolk State responded with its first touchdown before Raymond found the end zone again on the ensuing possession. Kaliakmanis hit WR DT Sheffield for a 51-yard reception to set up the Raymond touchdown run.

Benjamin scored his first touchdown of the season, with his 11-yard scoring rush, making it 46-10 at the end of the third quarter.

FOURTH QUARTER
Surace threw a pair of touchdown passes in the final 15 minutes of the game, connecting with Dino Kaliakmanis for a nine-yard touchdown at the 7:40 mark. Surace then found Thomas III three minutes later for a 25-yard score en route to a 60-10 final result.
