Brand Advancement
Rutgers University is seeking Creative Video Interns who will report to the Associate Athletic Director for Brand Advancement. This internship intends to teach students how to work in the fast-paced world of sports video. Interns will learn to use professional equipment in order to tell visual stories of Rutgers Athletics student-athletes’ accomplishments. Interns will need to shoot and edit video with deadlines. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
· Shoot highlights of at least one Rutgers Athletics event per week
· Edit packages for social media from event shot
· Ideate and create both short- and long-form pieces about Rutgers Athletics
· Assist with organization and labeling of video footage
· Help create social media content
· Assist in shooting pieces for weekly KnightLife show and various other shoots
Qualifications
· Experience with shooting and editing video with Adobe Premiere Pro

Facilities, Events & Operations Internship
Athletic Events Internship
The Athletic Events internship is a great opportunity for undergraduate & graduate students to learn firsthand what it takes to plan and execute successful events at a high level.
Responsibilities:
- Assist staff with the preparation of all events and facility logistics for all home athletic events. (Football, M/W Soccer, Volleyball, Field Hockey, M/W Basketball, Wrestling, Gymnastics, Baseball, Softball, Tennis, Track & Field, M/W Lacrosse)
- Serve as secondary event manager for competitions; helping the primary event manager oversee the event from a facilities, events and operations standpoint. Assist primary event manager oversee game day staffing (TSRG Security, parking, custodial, mechanics, electricians, etc)
- Serve as an event/facility liaison for special events such as (NJSIAA HS football, Concerts, sponsorship events, camps)
- Assisting in the preparation of B1G and NCAA Championships
- Liaison to visiting teams and officials while on site for home contest
- Scoreboard/Clock operations for Olympic Athletic events (Fall: M/W Soccer, Volleyball, Field Hockey) (Spring: Baseball, Softball)
- Assisting facility building managers with work orders, key requests, routine maintenance
- Updating visiting team guides, pre-game timing sheets, key inventory, etc.
- Creating/assisting in game day and special event signage
- Assist in facility scheduling

Communications/RVision Internships
Rutgers Athletics Communications Department: RVision is seeking dependable interns (underclassmen only) interested in all facets of sports video production. This is an opportunity to assist in the production of content (live games, press conferences, player features, etc.) for our streaming broadband video network via ScarletKnights.com. Interns will learn how to use broadcast production equipment (cameras, switchers, field audio, etc) as well as Adobe Premiere and other Adobe Creative Cloud software. The majority of live events will be broadcast to Chicago and then worldwide via BTN. RVision interns are responsible for the entirety of all BTN StudentU broadcasts. Successful interns will be highly considered for the BTN NOW program.
The intern will also learn how to encode video for the web and basic website content management. This is a great opportunity for those interested in a career in video production, especially in sports. Interns with most working experience with RVision will have the opportunity to assist in the production of the video board at football games, in addition to basketball games. RVision interns will also be in the mix for freelance jobs requested from BTN.

Marketing, Game Presentation, & Fan Experience Internships
Interns with the Rutgers University Division of Intercollegiate Athletics Marketing Office will act as liaisons between the Athletic Department and various campus and community groups, faculty and staff, and local sponsors of events.
Candidates for a sports marketing internship should have a strong work ethic, initiative, dedication and a sincere interest in Rutgers Athletics. Interns are vital components in the success of the overall department’s goals and objectives and will receive valuable hands-on marketing and promotions experience. Rutgers Athletics Marketing offers the following internships:
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Rutgers Athletics Marketing Staff with game day duties
- Attend minimum of 5 events per month
- Implement in-game promotions during Rutgers Athletic events
- Assist with game day duties such as fan giveaways & other promotional items
- Assist with any sponsor involvement at events
- Ensure proper set up of all banners, tables, and signage at events
- Facilitate marketing information tables during Football and Basketball game
- Facilitate marketing tables around campus to promote events or giveaways
- Conduct Research to identify new marketing and fan experience opportunities

Ticket Operations Internship
The Ticket Operations Internship provides undergraduate students the unique opportunity of gaining hands-on experience with a college athletics ticket office; allowing insight into the preparation and execution of gamedays.
Responsibilities include:
- Fulfilling, printing, and mailing ticket orders
- Managing student workers on game day
- Providing customer support via Phone, Ticket Window, and Email
- Assist with back office setup for all ticketed events
- Assist in the renewal process of season ticket holders for all ticketed sports
- Create and update bi-weekly newsletters
- Aid in email creation and marketing

Ticket Operations Gameday Worker
The Rutgers Ticket Office is looking for highly motivated, goal-fulfilling, and team-oriented individuals looking to gain experience in the sports customer service industry.
The Ticket Operations Game Day Staff is a seasonal position from August to May that pays bi-weekly. Individuals are required to work all home football games and most Basketball, Wrestling, and Lacrosse events.
Responsibilities include:
- Scanning tickets upon entrance
- Selling & reprinting tickets through Paciolan
- Assist fans with mobile ticketing issues & questions
- Provide tickets for guests of visiting & homes players and coaches

Rutgers Football Premium Tailgating - REVELxp Game Day Operations & Sales Internship

REVELxp - Rutgers is currently seeking interns for 6-month assignments. As a Game Day Operations & Sales Intern, you will be exposed to all aspects of the business lines (Sales/Marketing, Production, and Fulfillment) that support Rutgers Football Premium Tailgating gameday relationships. This is a remote position that will require consistent in-person meetings in the Piscataway, NJ area.
Special emphasis will be placed on Sales/Marketing support, to develop promising interns into candidates for future Event Manager roles within the company. Each intern will report directly to the General Manager. The ideal candidates will possess excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to gather and synthesize key information, and the ability to work effectively with a variety of colleagues across multiple levels and geographies.
REQUIREMENTS
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in any of the following areas: Sports Administration, Business Management, Journalism, or Communications. Candidates pursuing other relevant degrees of study are welcome to apply.
- Knowledge of sports and the excitement surrounding in-person events is a plus.
- Self-motivation that drives individual results while being a strong team player
- Possess a high energy, strong desire to achieve top results with a charismatic, positive “can-do” attitude.

Athletic Training
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Athletic Training Assistant to work with the Rutgers football team.
Position Overview
This begins as an unpaid entry-level position providing practical experience in sports medicine. After one (1) semester, this position has the opportunity to become a paid position. Athletic training aides are employed to assist the full-time staff in daily operations of the athletic training room, practices, and games. This position must be able to commit to 15-20 hours per week.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Logging injury treatments into an injury tracking database
- Facility maintenance and various organizational tasks
- Practice and game preparation, coverage
- Potential team travel opportunities
Athletic Training Aides are student volunteers that observe, learn, and assist the certified athletic trainers in the care and rehabilitation of varsity student-athletes. This clinical experience is valuable for students wishing to pursue careers in healthcare fields such as athletic training, physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant and orthopedic medicine. Students who work in the athletic training room will observe first hand the operation of a sports medicine facility. They will be exposed to numerous sports medicine concepts, which will prepare them for application to a variety of heath care professional programs such as an accredited athletic training entry-level masters program, PT school, OT school, or medical school.

Behavioral Health and Sport Psychology
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Behavioral Health and Sport Psychology team offers a variety of training opportunities for undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students interested in pursuing careers in sport psychology.
Position Overview
The undergraduate program runs during the summer months (June and July) while the graduate programs run the academic years (beginning in August and ending in June). Postdoctoral positions are calendar year appointments from August-July and have a second-year option.
