Sports radio broadcaster Chris Carlin serves as the play-by-play announcer for Rutgers football, entering his 24th season calling the action for the Scarlet Knights. An Emmy-award winning fixture on the New York sports scene, Carlin is the host of the afternoon show, Carlin vs. Joe on ESPN Radio. He is joined on the broadcast by Mike Teel who is in his fourth season as the radio team’s home color analyst. Teel, regarded as one of the top signal callers in program history, led Rutgers to three-consecutive bowl victories from 2006-08.

A defensive standout for the Scarlet Knights from 2012-16, Julian Pinnix-Odrick handles color duties on the road for the fourth-straight season. Pinnix-Odrick enjoyed a successful collegiate career “On the Banks,” as team captain and recipient of the Homer Hazel Award, presented to the team’s most valuable player. Former Rutgers defensive lineman Eric LeGrand begins his 14th season on the broadcast, providing insight and commentary in the home booth, on the pregame show, halftime report and postgame. He was named the New Jersey Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association (NSMA) in 2022.

Anthony “Fooch” Fucilli returns for his 20th season as the sideline reporter. Fucilli has also worked as a field producer and reporter for MSG Network since 1989.

Jerry Recco, the morning updates anchor on sports radio station WFAN, enters his ninth season as men’s basketball play-by-play announcer. He also serves as a host of the Inside Rutgers Athletics podcast. Recco also spent time covering the New York Giants in 2004 and New York Jets in 2007 and 2008. He is WFAN’s Super Bowl reporter, having covered the last five.

Former Scarlet Knights player Austin Johnson joined the men’s basketball broadcast during the 2021-22 season and enters his fourth year as the color commentator. A four-year letterwinner with the men’s basketball program from 2009-13, Johnson also serves as a color analyst with the Big Ten Network.

Ralph Bednarczyk has served as one of the play-by-play voices of Rutgers women's basketball since 2015. A long-time tri-state area radio and television broadcaster, Bednarczyk has worked with various media entities such as MLB.com, CUNY TV, the BIG EAST and NCAA.com.
 
Mark Peterson serves as the color analyst for women’s basketball, having spent over a decade on the broadcast. The former Rutgers men’s basketball player from 1983-88 played professionally in the NBA, CBA and USBL, in addition to internationally. Peterson has worked on the Rutgers staff as an academic advisor for over 25 years, overseeing various programs during his tenure.
