PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's lacrosse was recognized after the regular season with three All-Big Ten selections as well as an All-Freshman Team selection. Joe Juengerkes was named First Team All-Big Ten, Cardin Stoller and Colin Kurdyla were Second Team All-Big Ten selections and Dylan Finder was on the All-Freshman Team. Ben McKelvy was RU's Sportsmanship Award honoree.
All three were named All-Big Ten for the second consecutive season. Rutgers has at least three all-Big Ten selections for the second straight year and for the eighth time in the past nine all-conference releases.
RU's three All-Big Ten selections were the fourth most in the Big Ten. Juengerkes was one of three short-stick defensive midfielders honored, Stoller was one of three goalkeepers and Kurdyla was one of five attackmen.
This is the second year that the Big Ten has released an All-Freshman Team in men's lacrosse. Finder is RU's four All-Freshman Team selection over the past two years, with JJ Aiello, Haydn Sommer and Colin Zeller earning the recognition last year.
Juengerkes was RU's representative on the First Team and was the lone short-stick defensive midfielder in the conference to be placed on the First Team. The Islip, N.Y. native is wrapping up his final collegiate season as a two-time team captain for RU. A Preseason Second Team All-American, he has 42 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers with five goals and two assists across 14 games. He was the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on February 24 after RU defeated Villanova. Behind his defensive efforts, RU has a top-20 scoring defense nationally and held an opponent to single-digits seven times.
Stoller earns his second career all-conference accolade. The Boys Latin product from Owings Mills, Md. was a Tewaaraton Award Watch List and Preseason All-American selection posted 145 saves with a 52.3% save percentage on 10.17 goals-against-average. Stoller has helped RU keep its foe to single-digits seven times, including twice in Big Ten play. He was the Big Ten Specialist of the Week and on the USILA Team of the Week after making 14 saves and holding Villanova to seven goals. For his career, Stoller has made 500 saves, placing him ninth on RU's all-time career leaderboard.
Kurdyla is a Second Team all-conference selection for the second straight season. The Bridgewater, N.J. native led the team with 28 goals, 27 assists and 55 points, all career-highs for the junior and the most goals and points for a Scarlet Knight since 2022. Kurdyla, a Tewaaraton Award Watch List and Preseason All-American selection, was named the National Player of the Week and Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week on March 17 after he had 20 points combined against St. John's (4 goals, 7 assists) and Bellarmine (4 goals, 5 assists), when he became the first RU player in program history to have two 9+ point games in the same season and his 11 points was RU's most in a game since 1993.
Dylan Finder had an excellent debut season for the Scarlet Knights to earn placement on the league's All-Freshman Team. A native of Chandler, Arizona, Finder played in 14 games. The short-stick midfielder excelled in on-ball coverage and collected nine ground balls and four caused turnovers. He also earned a Big Ten Freshman of the Week award after the win over Villanova.
