
Three Men’s Lacrosse Alumns Named PLL All-Stars

Rall, Scott and Knobloch Selected for PLL All-Star Game
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Three former Rutgers men's lacrosse stars were named All-Stars on the professional level this week. Ethan Rall, Ross Scott and Shane Knobloch were tabbed for the All-Star Game in the Premier Lacrosse League.
Ethan Rall was selected to represent the Eastern Conference. A member of the Boston Cannons, Rall earns his first PLL All-Star game selection after previously being named a two-time All-Pro. Through five games this season, the long-stick midfielder has 17 ground balls and six caused turnovers, with one goal. Rall was a three-time All-American (twice being named to the First Team) and three-time all-Big Ten selection while at RU.
Ross Scott will play for the Western Conference. Recently named a team captain for the Carolina Chaos, Scott was named to his first All-Star Game after posting 10 points with nine goals in the first five games of the season. Scott's shot percentage of 47.4% in fifth In the league. Scott was a three-time All-American as a Scarlet Knight and was a three-time all-conference selection, recording 182 career points.
Shane Knobloch will also play for the Western Conference. A teammate of Scott's on the Carolina Chaos, the Moorestown, N.J. native and former First Round PLL Draft pick is a first time All-Star after scoring seven goals in the first five games of the season. As a Scarlet Knight, Knobloch was a four-time All-American, three-time All-Conference, Big Ten Freshman of the Year, Big Ten Media of Honor recipient and the USILA's Midfielder of the Year.
Rutgers men's lacrosse has established a strong pipeline to the professional ranks. 12 former Scarlet Knights were on PLL rosters ahead of this season. Rutgers boasts a total of 47 alumni all-time between Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) and the National Lacrosse League (NLL). This success placing players in the pros has been accelerated recently, with 35 alumni coached at RU by current head coach Brian Brecht to go on to the professional level.
