William Bailey

Bill Bailey has worked as an academic advisor with Rutgers Athletics since 1997. Bailey has worked with a number of programs during his tenure "On the Banks" and currently advises student-athletes from baseball and men's lacrosse. Bailey's office is located inside the Gary and Barbara Rodkin Academic Success Center on Busch Campus.

Prior to his arrival at Rutgers, Bailey spent two years at Project C.O.R.E (Community Organized to Regain Environment) through the Office of Continuing Professional Education at Rutgers University from 1994-96. The program was designed to assist troubled youth throughout Essex County.

Bailey earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Rutgers University's Cook College in 1994. Bailey was a four-year letterwinner and former walk-on student athlete with the Scarlet Knights' football team, where he played tailback and fullback. Bailey scored the program's first touchdown as a member of the BIG EAST Conference in 1991 against Boston College and was named a co-captain during the 1993 season. Bailey also earned his master's degree in education with a concentration in counseling psychology from Rutgers in 2016.

Bailey resides in Woodbridge Township, New Jersey with his wife, Sonya.
