Men's Lacrosse Set to Host No. 5 Princeton Tuesday

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers men’s lacrosse team will face its third consecutive ranked opponent on Tuesday, March 24, hosting No. 5 Princeton at Yurcak Field.
Rutgers (2-5) is coming off a 5-4 road win over previously undefeated and 14th ranked Hobart on Saturday. Freshman Mike Diehl (Flemington, N.J.) tied his season-high with two goals and added an assist to lead the Scarlet Knights.
Junior Billy Olin (Horseheads, N.Y.), the current ECAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week, recorded seven saves and held Hobart to only four goals. The Statesmen entered the game averaging nine goals a contest.
Princeton (5-1) posted an 18-11 win against Albany on Friday. Jack McBride tied his career-high with six goals as the Tigers picked up their third win over a ranked opponent this season.
Rutgers has faced Princeton more than any opponent in program history, trailing the all-time series, 29-54-3. RU dropped a tough one-goal game at Class of 1952 Stadium last season. Justin Pennington (Flemington, N.J.) netted three goals, but the Scarlet Knights fell by a 7-6 score.
