Tennis Welcomes Maryland for B1G Home Opener

Scarlet Knights and Terrapins meet Sunday at the EBRC
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Following a seven-game road swing, Rutgers returns home to host Maryland on Saturday afternoon. The match is set for a 1 p.m. start at the East Brunswick Racquet club.
RU'S LAST TIME OUT
Rutgers (5-6, 0-2) opened its conference slate with two road matches, suffering setbacks at Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Sophomore Jaci Cochrane leads the Scarlet Knights with six singles victories in dual matches to go with a 10-5 record overall this season.
In doubles action, senior Mingxiu Du and sophomore Kat Muzik hold a 6-4 dual record as a pair. Cochrane and freshman Maya Jacobs follow with a 5-3 mark.
SCOUTING MARYLAND
Maryland (6-7, 0-2) also dropped road matches at Minnesota and Wisconsin over the weekend.
Millie Stretton leads the team with nine singles victories, including wins at UM and UW. Eva Alexandrova follows with seven wins of her own.
The duo of Stetton and Alexandrova also pace the squad with a 9-2 record in doubles play.

Last year, the Scarlet Knights fell to then-No. 44 ranked Terrapins on the road by a score of 6-1.
